Notes From The Road: Mainland Mex
We recently sent one of our team riders, Charley Stevens, off on a long adventurous trip to Mainland Mexico, namely Puerto Escondido. He was joined by a couple film guys, photo guys as well as fellow surfer, Jaime Sterling. The goal was and is to get some heavy paddle & tow-in barrel shots for photo usage & video. We also wanted to test out a lot of new product we're working on. Product that just can't be taken to the limit here in Southern Cal right now (sorry so-cal). Puerto should do for now....
Geez we've got a lot of team guys out on the road right now. Our heads are spinning internally trying to keep up with it all. It's so great though, getting a lot of solid feedback on the product as well as great shots from around the world.... from surfing West Oz, Peru & Mainland Mex, FMX events in Spain, Wake events in Japan & Dubai all the way to Watercraft freeriding trips to Morocco... we're all over the map right now!
Anyway, this "blog-athon" is about Charley Stevens and the crazy journey to Mainland Mex. The kicker is that the group DROVE there... no planes. Ya, seriously haha. The idea was to "soak up" the vibe of the open road... aahhhh... so great. It's been interesting. Here are a few shots that show the start of the trip on down to the goal - heavey spitting tubes!!
Gathering up some fresh product at Jetpilot. Runnin' through the fine details of the trip
